Professional gardeners Catherine Yeoman and Dominique Stenning will be holding a number of gardening workshops at the Bluebell Farm Shop over the next few months. The aim is to help people gain knowledge and confidence in turning their own plot of soil into a garden they can be proud of. The days are designed to be relaxing, informal and fun and will include homemade refreshments and a delicious lunch prepared by Philippa Vine. All sessions are intended to be informative, friendly and suitable for any age and ability.

What to Grow & How to Sow
Tuesday 10th March 10-12.30
Seasonal tasks for March including planning which flowers, fruit and vegetables to grow through to how to sow seeds, take cuttings and divide plants. Hands-on practical demonstrations. Free seeds/plants to take home. Refreshments included.

Garden Design: Planning a Pretty and Productive Garden
Tuesday 15th or Thursday 17th March 10-3.30
Simple principles of good garden design to enable you to enhance your garden and realise its full potential. (Notes provided)
The Cut Flower Garden: Colour, Scents and Beauty

Everything you need to know to create a cutting garden in your own back yard producing fresh cut flowers for your home throughout the season. (Free seeds to get you started)

Bluebell Kitchen’s Cake & Scones
Wednesday 8th June.
We will be demonstrating how to make some of the popular cakes & scones we sell in the shop. All recipes and refreshments are included in this afternoon event which lasts from 2pm until 5 pm. £50 per person including afternoon tea in the garden and all the recipes.
Summer Lunch Party

Everyone loves entertaining for friends and family in the summer. We will demonstrate some of our favourite recipes for a delicious and impressive feast that includes the best of our summer produce. Lamb in a Day Masterclass
Wednesday 18th May.
Master the art of cutting and preparing one of our farm’s grass fed Southdown lamb. Each participant will be provided half a lamb & you will butcher it under the guidance of Michael ready to take home for your freezer. This day includes a delicious lunch and lamb recipes too which will inspire you to try some new dishes! There are just 4 places available for this event. Booking essential. 10.30am – 3.30pm £175 per person. Includes all equipment, refreshments, half a lamb plus lunch for a friend to join you too on this exciting day!
